Heating Systems: An exhibition by PIET ZWART INSTITUTE FINE ART CLASS OF 2025

We’re very excited to be hosting students from Piet Zwart Instituut next week. The fifteen artists making up the second year of the MFA program will take over our basement for three short days, presenting new work in all in corners and crevices. To quote the exhibition text: ‘Higher education is drying up, we’re left with shells and pips, little piles that we are spending time sorting together. We’ve been self-organising in the basement, a gathering in times of prohibition. We trace a threshold, rocking back and forth, between, inside and outside the institution, the heat, the street and the chambers, as if in a hammock. Come down the stairs to the speakeasy, where speaking is not easy and warmth is to be sought.

Heating Systems is a self-organised exhibition and features Lilian Beentjes, Esmee Bruins, Nayoung Choi, Veigar Gunnersson, Adrian Kiss, Max Lester, Jochem Mestriner, Angjelina Nonaj, Lore Pilzecker, Ruby Reding, Leonie Schneider, Benjamin Schoones, Inneke Taalman, Ellen Rose Wallace and Samuel White.
